Day 7

Weekly Truth

from the Genesis reading plan

Genesis 1:31

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize the key verse for the book of Genesis, a declaration of God’s satisfaction with the work He accomplished while creating the world.

God saw all that He had made, and it was very good indeed.
—Genesis 1:31a

I love the following quote for it celebrates Gods creation and makes me feel in partnership with my Father in Heaven.

God left the world unfinished for man to work his skill upon. He left the electricity in the cloud, the oil in the earth. He left the rivers unbridged and the forests unfelled and the cities unbuilt. God gives to man the challenge of raw materials, not the ease of finished things. He leaves the pictures unpainted and the music unsung and the problems unsolved, that man might know the joys and glories of creation. – Thomas S. Monson

Be a woman of the word everyday. I need to live by that God is so good. Everything he created for us is good indeed. Being reminded of who created me takes a weight off my shoulder knowing with all that I’m going through right now God will see me through.

Creation, the beauty of it all. Yes, I’m with Julia, God did a good job. Worthy is our God! When I read God’s word, I mark every reference to Him , that I might see Him for Who He is and what He was doing in any given situation. I want my focus to be on Him.

Sorry for the duplicate post. Seems to do that sometimes when I try to edit. And I can’t go back in and delete one of the two.

Yesterday Julia and I were watching a video animation of Creation. At the end of the seventh day, Julia, with all the wisdom and insight of a five year old, said “Mimi, God did a good job!” Yes He did. With all that He created, God revealed His character. Power. Creativity. Generosity. Order. Beauty. Love. YES, God indeed did a good job. Today I will worship Him for what He has done and for Who He is. He alone is worthy!
