BY She Reads Truth
Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.
Throughout Paul’s letter to the Galatians, he encourages believers to walk in the Spirit. This week, we’ll memorize Galatians 5:22–23, a non-exhaustive list of qualities cultivated in believers as we follow Him.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
—Galatians 5:22–23

These are the characteristics of God, and when we abide in Him we also bear the same characteristics!! So impactful to think we are made in His image.

Please pray that I will be committed to scripture memorisation. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, and I know God wants me to fill my mind with what is good and lovely. Please pray that by remembering scripture that the words of God will nourish my mind and soul and cause me to bear the fruits of the spirit.

These fruits are so evident in Christ, it is my prayer that when people see me, my husband or my family in Christ that they won’t see us, they will see Christ. They will see love joy peace patience kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self control.

That self control hits me real hard.
