BY She Reads Truth
Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.
This week we will memorize the first part of the key verse for 1 Peter.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
1 Peter 1:3–4

His mercy … is my hope. I have no hope outside of Him! He has forgiven me and restored me. He has given me hope and joy even in an uncertain world.

I have an inheritance!!! His name is Jesus Christ! There’s no fighting over what portion I get. I am HIS!

Mercy. I’ve been thinking a lot about Mercy lately.

Living hope of an imperishable inheritance with my Savior…now that’s something to keep a smile on my face and overwhelming joy in my heart!

My inheritance is “imperishable” – never, ever going away; “undefiled” – absolutely perfect; “unfading” – the new never wears off.

“an inheritance… kept in heaven for you…”
I am a ‘kept’ woman and I’m ok with that.
