BY She Reads Truth
Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.
This week’s verse is a reminder that Christ’s sacrifice for us includes the entire self—body as well as soul.
Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought at a price. So glorify God with your body.
—1 Corinthians 6:19-20

This is a very powerful message for me. It really makes me reflect on how past mistakes have made me really miss the mark in glorifying God. What I love is that God always gives us another chance to get it right ❤️

We were bought with the precious blood of Christ. May we live each day enveloped in that reality. ❤️

Lord, help me honor you today. Every breath I take is because of you.

I’m so thankful for the comfort of God in my daily frustrations of life. I may not have had anything earth shattering happen today, but I definitely had my share of disappointments and frustrations. I am so thankful that God meets us where we are and is always with us.

Lord, I confess that I have not been treating my body as a Holy temple. I have not nourished it spiritually, emotionally, and physically the way that You are calling me to. I pray that you would expose my sin and that I would depend on your for strength and nourishment. I pray that every choice I make pertaining to my body is a choice that honors and glorifies you. AMEN! This was convicting, and I really needed to read this and see what God is telling me today.

Body –
A temple of the Holy Spirit.
Whom you have from God.
Not your own.
Bought at a price.
So
Glorify God.That simple. That difficult. Help, Lord.

Lord, I have not been taking good care of my body for the past year. I long to honor You with my full self. Please help me find ways to take better care of myself so that I can honor You. Amen.
