Hi Tam! Please don’t feel discouraged ♥️ have you tried reading The Message version? There are also many resources (The Bible Project) and podcasts devoted to breaking down the Bible to help us understand!

  2. Tam Tu says:

Gosh, I really try to understand the Bible, but its not clicking. I’m better off reading daily devotionals.

God gives us women such a high calling to be subject to our husbands, so that they can be encouraged by our respect & conduct. I want to be a wife that adorns my husband with a gentle & quiet soul that surpasses all adorned looks.

4but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

  7. E Hong says:

39“But in the latter days I will restore the fortunes of Elam, declares the Lord.”

    1. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

Amidst it all God still has restoration on His ❤️ heart!

  8. Sharon Ide says:

19Behold, like a lion coming up from the jungle of the Jordan against a perennial pasture, I will suddenly make him run away from her. And I will appoint over her whomever I choose. For who is like me? Who will summon me? What shepherd can stand before me?

This passage was very helpful to highlight God’s divine prerogative as sovereign over the universe to judge as he sees fit. God is the gracious and merciful shepherd who is Holy. The nations receive what is right, as revelation notes “his judgments are good.” May we see the goodness of God’s justice, and the goodness also of the great mercy we have received.
