The Community Engagement Team gets to be the eyes and ears of the company with an intentional connection to our incredible community. We are in the business of facilitating women’s and men’s aspirations to be in the Word of God every day.  And we do that by helping our community get the most out of our Daily Reading Guides, our mobile apps, our online presence, and more. Our team is driven by a desire to deeply know our audience in order to anticipate and meet their needs. Job Description: The Seasonal Community Engagement Specialist truly embodies our brand’s voice and mission, fostering connections within our community through empathy and care to our customers during our busiest season of the year. This role requires a proactive approach to managing community interactions, emphasized by effective communication and innovative problem-solving. This is a full time, seasonal position, and candidates must be available to work during the week (M-F); flexible hours are available upon manager approval. 

Start Date: August 5, 2024
End Date: January 6, 2025

This is an onsite position in Franklin, TN at the She Reads Truth HQ office.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide answers to customer questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Interact with the worldwide She Reads Truth community while embodying the voice, posture, and care of the team to our customers
  • Frequently check multiple email addresses and provide customer service to the She Reads Truth community (and extended brands)
  • Maintain awareness of community issues, troubleshoot ways to serve and engage the Shes and Hes, and increase community membership retention
  • Discern confidential information and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience with subscription services (preferred)
  • Have a cooling effect in hot situations
  • Ability to work autonomously and joyfully serve with a cheerful attitude
  • Passionate about the She Reads Truth sensibility, brand, aesthetic, and mission
  • Familiarity with customer support applications including ShipStation, Gorgias, and Shopify to address and resolve customer issues
