Marketing Manager

The Product Marketing Manager is an action-oriented marketer who owns the go-to-market strategy and execution of our highly-curated product offering (new and old). You’re responsible for creating optimization strategies related to performance metrics, which include (but not limited to) revenue, conversion rate (CR), average order value (AOV), gross profit margin (GPM), and cart-completion rate (CCR).

It’s the Product Marketing Manager’s role to analyze their targeted KPIs, communicate the vision for growth around those KPIs to stakeholders, execute upon their plan, and measure the impact of their work (during and after campaigns).

You’ll manage product performance, on-site merchandising, and the overall promotional mix, including up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, which will help increase KPIs like revenue, conversion rate (CR), and average order value (AOV). In support of the customer experience, you’ll manage on-site search, SKU categorization, UX improvements, payment options, bounce rates (BR), and cart-completion rates (CCR).

Note: This is a full-time, hybrid workplace position in Nashville, TN.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our products (new and old) and the go-to-market strategy in collaboration with the Editorial team while acting as the voice of the customer
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to get everyone on the same page with what’s new in the product, why it matters, and how to talk about it through a marketing lens
  • Deploy strategies to improve conversion rates and average order size through site merchandise management (improving best sellers, leveraging up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, developing new capabilities, etc.)
  • Improve individual and cross-departmental processes for executing and communicating product marketing projects/campaigns
  • Provide clear, consistent, and frequent communication with stakeholders to outline strategy, tactics, goals, and performance of product marketing goals
  • Collaborate with the Creative team to create new sales and marketing tools, including (but not limited to) product images, product videos, and customer testimonials
  • Analyze data to understand top sellers, campaigns, and promotions; provide feedback on what worked, what didn’t, and how to improve next time
  • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager to develop customer-journey maps & path-to-purchase frameworks
  • Continually review website content for opportunities to improve the user experience and better monetize the customer journey
  • Develop merchandise testing & reporting strategy, communicate SKU performance cross-departmentally
  • Assess category-performance and expansion opportunities
  • Optimize on-site search, sorting, filtering, navigation, and content findability
  • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager to design and implement abandoned cart campaigns to recapture transactions
  • Manage A/B testing across sales channels
  • Support an SEO and content strategy that increases traffic, engagement and conversion
  • Work with Editorial team to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with brand standards
  • Communicate with outside contractors and vendors on details around projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar field of study
  • 4+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Managing direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms
  • Knowledge and experience in Shopify / WordPress (or similar), Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Data Studio, Excel, and A/B testing tools
  • On-site merchandising and product-catalog management
  • Identifying KPIs, being accountable to them, and deploying optimization strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to mine, analyze and interpret data, use sound judgment and make fact-based recommendations and decisions
  • Managing customer-experience improvements and developing new capabilities
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • High level of organization
