Marketing Manager

The Growth Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategy and project management of marketing efforts related to the full customer life cycle, from acquisition to retention. Targeted KPIs for this role include (but are not limited to) site traffic, revenue, average order value (AOV), conversion rate (CR), gross profit margin (GPM), customer lifetime (LTV), and customer acquisition cost (CAC).

This individual is a highly-organized executor that can see the end goal and drive toward it with excellence and purpose. Main tasks are strategy, project management, testing, reporting, and eCommerce strategies. . Main deliverables include lead pages, conversation-rate optimizations, automated email campaigns, targeted/segmented emails, scheduled promotions, paid social, and more.

Note: This is a full-time, hybrid workplace position in Nashville, TN.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic oversight of customer databases, managing, and maintaining key audience segments
  • Define our value propositions for each key audience segment and make sure that it’s reflected in our marketing materials
  • Work with copywriters, designers, and other project managers to produce high-performing, reusable sales content that educates, engages, and inspires our target audiences
  • Manage the creation of compelling email marketing campaigns, and develop strategies to maximize email campaign effectiveness, including drip and nurture campaigns
  • Maximize our website to drive optimal user experience and sales opportunities, by leading customer acquisition/personalization strategies, conversion-rate optimizations through A/B testing, and increasing customer lifetime value through referral programs, paid search, and social channels 
  • Create outbound marketing, lead generation, lead nurturing, and retention strategies that align with focused KPIs
  • Develop and execute consistent testing and targeting plans to optimize sales channels and campaign performance
  • Manage the digital content and brand presentation across digital sales channels including (but not limited to) website, app, email, podcast, paid digital, SMS, and SEO
  • Ensure conversion tracking is firing across all campaigns and regularly report campaign progress, effectiveness, and insights that inform the broader strategy and business impact to stakeholders across the business
  • Execute online merchandising and promotional strategy across digital sales channels
  • Work with outside agency partners and/or outside contractors to optimize campaigns across all digital sales channels
  • Evaluate and optimize team processes and frameworks to improve the effectiveness of new launches and cross-functional collaboration
  • Regularly communicate with Marketing Director to gain understanding of high-level marketing strategies/goals and present outcomes of marketing reports to leadership
  • Ongoing awareness of global marketing trends and willingness to offer new ideas
  • Work with Editorial team to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with brand standards



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or similar field of study
  • 3+ years of experience working in digital marketing including e-com, social, search, digital advertising, CRM, and web analytics
  • Technical skills: Shopify, WordPress (or similar), Google Analytics / Tag Manager / Data Studio, Excel, A/B Testing
  • Data visualization, dashboards, and reporting
  • Able to measure and target LTV, CAC, conversion rate, ROI/ROAS, subscribe/unsubscribe rates, content engagement/reach, email/SMS open/click rates, customer retention rates and churn rates. 
  • Expert level of working understanding of the customer life cycles, sales funnels, lead pages, email automations, and paid social 
  • Experience with segmenting data in customer data platforms or marketing automation tools
  • Workflow building and product management experience
  • Proven success marketing direct-to-consumer products
  • Strong copywriting skills and a high level of organization 
  • Personally motivated by results and data-driven decision making
