BY She Reads Truth
There is no greater prayer we can pray for those we love than for them to know the fullness of God’s love in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Take this day as an opportunity to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord. Pray this Scripture for a specific person in your life and for yourself:
“Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”
–Acts 16:31

I pray for the word of God to permit us to live, move and exist in the love of Jesus for we all are his offspring.

Sorry for the geekiness that’s about to ensue.
I thought it was really interesting how the Bible version SRT has used here says “Believe ON the Lord Jesus.” I usually think of the word believe as followed by the preposition IN not ON. In the other version I am using it does say “Believe IN the Lord Jesus.” Now IN would suggest my belief is inside Jesus (believing Jesus has the power to save, the object of my faith), however ON suggests my belief is standing on or based on Jesus. So it reminds me that Jesus is my foundation not the just the object of my faith.
“My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness,
I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
“On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.”-
I’m glad you posted this! I was wondering that! I love how you put it…”Jesus is my foundation not just the object of my faith.”

We put our faith in so many things. Praying today that we realize our faith needs to be in the Person of Jesus Christ and Him alone. Salvation comes from none other. Heaven is real. Hell is real. I’m praying for my unsaved family and friends today. And for those of us who know The Way, that we would share our faith boldly and with great love and tenderness. Amen.
