Day 20

Grace Day

from the Ezekiel: Come to Life (Lent 2022) reading plan

2 Peter 3:9

BY She Reads Truth

Lent is a season where we reflect on the depth of our sin and embrace the hope and strength found only in the cross of Christ. We seek unhurried moments of quiet to read Scripture, pray, confess, and repent. Take some time today to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.

The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.
—2 Peter 3:9

Peter’s words give me hope. Not only for those who are lost, but also for me. God will not finished what he has started and will fulfill his promise to make me complete and turn my heart of stone into a heart of flesh.

Michelle, you sound like a wise woman. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and find real life friends to help keep you accountable. And remember that nothing can ever keep you from the love of Jesus. But it is so much wiser not to get into a relationship with someone with whom you are not spiritually compatible. I’m dating a really good man right now, and he believes in Jesus, but he doesn’t LOVE him the way I do, with every fiber of my being. I believe that I ultimately need to end this relationship, but I’m struggling with how. I love him dearly and I don’t want to hurt him, but I’m sure it’s going to hurt no matter what. And so I am praying for guidance as to how and when. But you know this man is not a believer now, so you can avoid getting to the difficult place I am in. God bless you as you follow him.

Victoria E, congratulations on baby Elijah!! It has been so encouraging to pray for you and see God’s faithful, sustaining hand in your journey, so thank you for sharing with us! I read these verses and thought of you: Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy. Though one goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed, he will surely come back with shouts of joy, carrying his sheaves. – Psalms 126:5-6 ❤️ Praying that you are recovering well, getting rest, and getting into a good groove with your baby boy! ❤️

So good to know that His grace is for me and that he is patient with me. Feeling just overwhelmed with demands of the home and ministry life, just need this quiet time for me.
