Day 20

Grace Day

from the Ezekiel: Come to Life (Lent 2022) reading plan

2 Peter 3:9

BY She Reads Truth

Lent is a season where we reflect on the depth of our sin and embrace the hope and strength found only in the cross of Christ. We seek unhurried moments of quiet to read Scripture, pray, confess, and repent. Take some time today to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.

The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.
—2 Peter 3:9

So many thoughts today on the study and the crazy world after spending time with the nieces and nephews and my son. They are all so caught up in worldly things such as quick money at any cost, relationships (living together, pre-marital sex, and sleeping with whoever, whenever), and idols (mainly gaming and the forementioned). It is crazy to me, yet normal to them sadly, just as Angie had said. It is sad, and we hurt for the world because we know a better way. I am not that old and remember going through some of these things in college, but wow, it is a major stronghold today and pure satan. The one niece, that is single and had the baby and my son are both believers, but are not in church. Lord, keep hold of these two I pray, let your Holy Spirit work in them and move them. As for the other three, they have turned their back on God. Lord I ask that you work in their lives that they may see you and come to you. I will continue to pray for them and encourage them as your give me the words.

Heavenly Father I ask that you are with Michelle P and that the Holy Spirit will lead her in her actions, that she stay strong, and speak Jesus name over the wicked feelings she is sensing. She is your child, and longs to please you, give her wisdom.

Prayers for a good wkd! I hope we feel closer to our Heavenly Father in the midst of all of the evil of the upside-down world. God, give your people strength, as persecution will come, and we must prepare. Let our hearts be humble, and give up our own idols, stay in the Word that you have given us, and shine your light and plant those seeds! Amen

VICTORIA- the tired WILL pass.. there WILL be a day that sleep is more consistent and for longer periods at a time… I used to have to speak that to myself when I was in infancy stage…
Breastfeeding happens and doesn’t.. my first two were a no-go, my 3rd it worked for about 3 months (while supplementing with Baby’s Only formula) and then I had to make the choice to stop. And it was emotional… idk why exactly but it was. But hear this- there are healthy breastfed humans walking the earth and healthy formula fed humans walking the earth and your choice of how you choose to feed your baby is NOT going to have any traumatic stress on him :) :) You do what works. What brings less stress to you will bring less stress to him :) As much as you are able, keep a “big picture” perspective on ALL the choices you need to make for him. Babies are born and thrive all over this earth- all raised differently. You’re doing great and you’ll continue to do great. Remember the last study! FEAR NOT! You’ve got this! And Gods got you! :)

Dear Victoria & baby Elijah. Grace upon Grace, upon Grace upon Grace…I can imagine the immense gratitude & glory you are finding in this gorgeous child. Sleeping or awake. Crying or trying. Every Good & Perfect Gift is from above! Thank you for sharing your journey, now entering a new phase of wonder & delight. Spoken by me, the grandmother of three sons four & under.

Thank you Kelly (NEO) for praying for Brandon and James. My sister was here visiting for spring break and mentioned she found in Brandon’s old place a Bible and he had written scripture on his car before it was impounded. We still don’t know where he is but I think he’s saved despite his bad choices. James is 2 and hasn’t said any words yet but very active and very loved. So happy for Victoria E and baby Elijah. Praying for you and all the requests here and our unbelieving family and friends. Heidi – you are such a blessing! Asking for prayer for me, I was out with family last night and suddenly felt a pain shoot up the back of my my left leg. Having trouble sitting and laying on my sides is too painful. Limping around the house and praying it will pass soon. Gentle stretching is making it worse. Thank you

It feels so good to read this passage this morning. Peace be with all of you this weekend and forever.

For many of us, myself included, this verse is hard to absorb because we are in a world where we want things and we want things “right away” and if that doesn’t happen we can’t understand why. A good example is with Finley and waiting to find out what antibiotic to put her on by what the culture grows out, these things take time. God also takes time — SOMETIMES A LOT LONGER than we want Him to — but we have to remember God is the creator of ALL THINGS.
Found out yesterday that my agency might have some work for me until Finley is out of the hospital. Also found out Finley will be in for another 6 – 8 days.
Father, God, Healer of all, Great Physician, help Finley through this, help her parents and her sisters. Also, help all others who need a healing hand. Bring Your Holy Spirit to rest upon all who need You and Your help. Touch those who need You with those WONDERFUL, POWERFUL healing hands. In Jesus name, Amen.

God is merciful. I’m so thankful that He wants all to come to repentance.

Michelle you are wise to seek prayer and counsel. If you have not already done so, pray that any soul ties you have be broken in the name of Jesus. The enemy will use anything from our past to try to destroy our future. Pray for discernment and as Heidi said arm yourself with the Word of God.

I’m still catching up on half a week’s worth of devos. I haven’t been diligent in my spiritual walk, and these months have been dry. I’m thankful to try to go through Ezekiel with SRT.
