Day 13

Grace Day

from the Ezekiel: Come to Life (Lent 2022) reading plan

John 15:3

BY She Reads Truth

Lent is a season where we reflect on the depth of our sin and embrace the hope and strength found only in the cross of Christ. We seek unhurried moments of quiet to read Scripture, pray, confess, and repent. Take some time today to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.

“You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.”
—John 15:3

As I pray over specific requests today I am feeling overwhelmed with love for this community of strong, Godly women. This must be how God feels for his people, an overwhelming, consuming love ❤️

I’m I’m so glad that Jesus has made us all clean. I’m glad I don’t need to make myself clean.

Thanks Morgan for bringing us around to that old favorite hymn … “nothing but the blood of Jesus”…The Book of Ezekiel is indeed a hard, hard read. That’s intentional, deliberate, unrelenting & demanding. We are meant to experience the tragedy of sin. Arrogant, detestable, destructive behavior by both women & men. But as our SRT mantra goes…”keep opening your Bible”…and our Lord of reconciliation & redemption meets us there. Entering in with heads bowed in humility & leaving with faces radiant in hope. Thanks be to God.
