Day 6

Grace Day

from the Ezekiel: Come to Life (Lent 2022) reading plan

1 Peter 2:24

BY She Reads Truth

Lent is a season where we reflect on the depth of our sin and embrace the hope and strength found only in the cross of Christ. We seek unhurried moments of quiet to read Scripture, pray, confess, and repent. Take some time today to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
—1 Peter 2:24

I found time to rest in His word and yet I struggle to find words to pray. I want to cry all the time and my emotions are overwhelming but reading scripture for 30 minutes has helped me love more and be more generous with others.

Somehow I missed all the posts from yesterday and saw how many responses you were getting. I went back to review and boy, it’s just what I needed to hear. Thank you for reminding me that I am forgiven for my sins. I can walk free in the knowledge of Christ loving me and living within me.

I was falling behind on my readings and writings, and once I finished yesterday’s summaries today, I came late tonight to finally get started on this day’s word to be met with this.
I really feel validated and amazed that catching up is exactly what I did today!
These readings are difficult (and a first read for me as a new believer in Christ) and you perfectly capture that in your responses. So grateful we are all walking together! Beautifully written. Thank you for what you do in Jesus name!!

I love that we have been saved from our sins, so that we can live a new life. We have been saved for a purpose. ❤️
