Too beautiful not to share. Lifting up your prayer requests and asking God to bless each of you in His ways, by His hands, and His Mercy. “ON CHRISTIAN COURAGE” by H Muller…
The prophet Ezekiel was led through the holy waters, which were first to his ancles, afterwards to his knees, then to his loins, and lastly they were a river which he could not pass over, Ezek. 47:3–5. Thus are the waters of affliction seen to many a child of God. He fears not to venture into them when they are to the ancles, the knees, or even the loins; but he fears them beyond this; they are too deep; he can find no ground. If God bring him to the Red Sea, there he stands and trembles, ready to die. Alas! he exclaims, here I shall perish; I can never survive this. But this, my brother, is unworthy of your name and Christian character. You are commanded to go forward. He who brought you hither, will carry you onwards. Did he not make a passage through the sea? He knows how to make a path where none exists. Christian courage wades through every obstructing ford; and if we are led into the midst of the overwhelming floods, it will give us energy to buffet against the stream. It is a sore evil when a Christian’s spirit fails in the midst of some trying providence, or when any opposing circumstance distresses him because he cannot see the end. We shall yet find ground. If Jesus go before me, I will follow after, and I cannot but be safe. If needful, he will support me by his arm. However deep the waters may be, the angels of God are with me, who will bear me up in their hands. I shall not sink beneath the flood, unless they sink also. It is as well to be in the deeps as on high, if only God and his angels are with me.
If one trial succeed another, it is not otherwise than I have been taught to expect. How many were the afflictions of my Saviour? Did he not go out of Jerusalem to the Garden of Gethsemane, from Gethsemane to Annas, from Annas to Caiaphas, from Caiaphas to Pilate, from Pilate to Herod, thence again to Pilate, and at last to Calvary, to be suspended on the accursed tree? Thus hath he sanctified to me the cross. Of what then should I be afraid? Is not my God and Saviour near me? He who administered comforts to the Israelites in the wilderness, made also the Jordan dry. He will overrule all things for my good, and make those very circumstances which I most feared, conduce to my advantage. As I also, by his grace, trust him in the beginning, so shall I also, with him, in the end, be glorified. “I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation,”  Look! God is my salvation; I will trust, and I will not be afraid, for my strength and might is Yah, Yahweh; and he has become salvation for me.” Isa. 12:2.
