Welcome Kate. I pray you’ll be blessed by this community as we are. Dorothy and Jimin Lee I’m praying for you and your families. May the Lord’s love and strength surround & support you as you walk these difficult roads. Sarah Joy you might try the Well Watered Women studies. They have several that I really loved that were topical, but they also do just individual books in the Bible.
May you all have a blessed and restful weekend my friends.

Sarah Joy I did a Kristy Cambon study on Acts that still sticks with me a month after finishing it. It’s a technique called verse mapping where you research the different translations and use a concordance to study the original Greek. It’s crazy how much I learned and loved the Word so much more after that! Max Lucado has good studies too, better suited for a group but fine to do on your own !

Sarah Joy… I think you’d enjoy anything by Jen Wilken… I especially loved 1 Peter…and also The Beatitudes!

Hi sisters, I need lots of pray right now, at 11am CST I’ll be talking with my two brothers re: my sister, Carol. I hope they can help me talk her into getting counseling for depression. I see all the signs and symptoms of it. Also, please continue to pray for my nephew, Jake, we had to have him admitted for a psych evaluation because he was having problems again. We’re not sure if he’s abusing drugs (again) or not taking his prescribed meds or a combination of both. The police were called again to the extended stay place he was at last night so that they could take him to the hospital. I know that God will only give us what we can handle but I wonder sometimes how broad He thinks my shoulders are? I keep turning it over to Him but it seems like satan keeps piling it on. My son and his fiancé came into town (they live about an hour away) last evening to help b/c I was at work. Sorry for the rambling.
    Sisters have a blessed weekend.

Dorothy I will pray for you and your family. I have come to realize that God doesn’t give us what we can handle, He gives us what He can handle.
