Welcome Kate. I pray you’ll be blessed by this community as we are. Dorothy and Jimin Lee I’m praying for you and your families. May the Lord’s love and strength surround & support you as you walk these difficult roads. Sarah Joy you might try the Well Watered Women studies. They have several that I really loved that were topical, but they also do just individual books in the Bible.
May you all have a blessed and restful weekend my friends.

Sarah Joy I did a Kristy Cambon study on Acts that still sticks with me a month after finishing it. It’s a technique called verse mapping where you research the different translations and use a concordance to study the original Greek. It’s crazy how much I learned and loved the Word so much more after that! Max Lucado has good studies too, better suited for a group but fine to do on your own !

Sarah Joy… I think you’d enjoy anything by Jen Wilken… I especially loved 1 Peter…and also The Beatitudes!

Hi sisters, I need lots of pray right now, at 11am CST I’ll be talking with my two brothers re: my sister, Carol. I hope they can help me talk her into getting counseling for depression. I see all the signs and symptoms of it. Also, please continue to pray for my nephew, Jake, we had to have him admitted for a psych evaluation because he was having problems again. We’re not sure if he’s abusing drugs (again) or not taking his prescribed meds or a combination of both. The police were called again to the extended stay place he was at last night so that they could take him to the hospital. I know that God will only give us what we can handle but I wonder sometimes how broad He thinks my shoulders are? I keep turning it over to Him but it seems like satan keeps piling it on. My son and his fiancé came into town (they live about an hour away) last evening to help b/c I was at work. Sorry for the rambling.
    Sisters have a blessed weekend.

Dorothy I will pray for you and your family. I have come to realize that God doesn’t give us what we can handle, He gives us what He can handle.

    Hello She Reads Truth Community,
I’m reaching out to ask for prayers for my husband Daniel’s salvation and for a spiritual warfare in our household. Please pray that God will speak to me and that I will hear from him with clarity and also the next steps. Also please pray that God will restore emotional destructive marriage and put an end to emotional and verbal abuse by exposing all the sins and lies and that scales will fall off of our eyes so that we may see and become aware of the truth and repent and be delivered. Please pray for a revelation and for protection of our children so they may not get hurt in the midst of it all. Please pray for the generational curses and sins to stop and be forgiven and that we will both be delivered from our past and receive inner healing. Please pray for communication barriers to be destroyed and pray that we will have open and honest, constructive communication. Please pray for a safe home where we can both voice our opinions and thoughts without getting angry or hostile. Please pray that we will forgive each other, rid of all bitterness, resentment, anger, blames, guilt, and that we will learn to love each other by speaking each others’ love language through God’s love. Please pray against silent treatment, unfaithfulness, deceit, condemnation, and neglect, and pray for peace and joy, in all circumstances. Please pray that I will be able to surrender and be strong in my faith and be filled with courage and obey however God leads. Thank you so much and God bless you all!

Jimin Lee I will pray for you. I believe God hears us and answers us when we pray

      1. Victoria E says:

Jimin Lee thank you for being so vulnerable to post your requests. Remember that greater is He that is inside of you than he who is in the world. Amen.

    2. Claire B says:

      Jimin, so prayed as written.

Hi everyone! I’m new here. Tuning in late because I just bought the study for mid-August yesterday. Can’t wait to get into this study and keep it up with y’all.

    1. Julie Johnson says:

Hi Kate! Me too. I ordered August yesterday too. I just found SRT and I am excited to be a part of this community!

  10. Anne Penner says:

I am so blessed by this community. Blessed, encouraged, and challenged. I appreciate the daily readings, love the podcast, and count it a privilege to pray through all the requests. You all are an important part of my day. Thank you.
I’m another one of those who rarely comment but couldn’t resist this morning.

  11. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

From yesterday’s reading, Ephesians 2:1 – I was dead in sin (past tense, hallelujah!) Ephesians 2:4 – But God!…who is rich in mercy, who loves us so much, made us alive in Christ – by grace, He saved us! So thankful that God looked beyond our sin, to the cross of Christ and has now accepted us in the beloved. Not because I deserve it, but because Christ died for my sins, in my place. All glory to God!

Have a wonderful weekend my SRT sisters! Meditate on God’s amazing love!

  12. Mary Snyder says:

    Have a great weekend.

SarahJoy I jave enjoyed doing studies bu Kay Arthur (the Inductive Study Series). You can do as little or as much of the work as you want, but they really teach you how to examine the word and let the Holy Spirit be your teacher. I have been working through 1 and 2 Peter and have found many blessings.

  14. Kelly says:

    Happy Saturday She’s!

Thanks to all of you who contribute comments, encouragement, and prayers. It is a joy to see Christ’s body in motion.

MAURA – praying that Lindy is OK

MELANIE – praying you find relief from your pain soon

STRUGGLING – continuing to pray for your heartbreak and sadness. May you sense the Lord’s love and care for you.

TAYLOR – praying that you and your roommate are getting on well

Caught up on the readings from Romans since I missed that day. So many truth bombs in that book.

Both the OT and NT studies this summer have done such a good job of whetting my appetite for the Bible. I’ve gone through seasons recently where it felt like “what I should do,” but I didn’t really find myself interested. This summer thanks to the “just enough to leave you wanting more” style of this study and the active comments section, I’m thinking about finding a deep dive study. Anyone have any favorites that they’d recommend (preferably one that won’t require tons of homework)? I enjoyed the Corinthians days, and I’ve never studied that book.

Thanks to all of you who comment or simply pray as you read. There’s something special here. ❤️

    1. Mary Snyder says:

I loved and grew in Gods love with Ephesians

    2. Chris Swan says:

Join a BSF group. We are doing Matthew this year (starting sept 15).

      1. Traci Gendron says:

I did BSF for 7 years. Then went back and did another. I would love to do Matthew again.

    3. Heidi V says:

It’s not a super deep dive bc it’s only one week, but the Psalms of Rest study is really wonderful when you need to fill your cup. It’s one of the free studies in this app.
