Day 6

Grace Day

from the This Is the New Testament reading plan

Joel 2:13

BY She Reads Truth

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

Tear your hearts,
not just your clothes,
and return to the LORD your God.
For he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger, abounding in faithful love,
and he relents from sending disaster.
—Joel 2:13

This rendering of the heart over sin shows me how I should feel and react to my sin. God is a holy God. Thank the Lord for giving us Jesus because we can never be righteous enough to earn our way to heaven. Happy Saturday, SRT sisters

So thankful and praising Him that He is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger, abounding in faithful love!…All that I am not, but all that I want to become.

Up earlier than usual today b/c getting together w/ Christian friends I haven’t seen in a long time can’t wait. They are from a big group and we are having a meeting/gathering/worship service/fun time. Can’t wait. It’s been over ten years. I previously had a roommate who didn’t want me to do anything without her, and I have been a part of this group before I met my roommate, so I stopped going to meetings. Enough of that, I’m rambling, God has blessed me to be able to get back together w/ the group again.
Sisters, I’d like to ask for prayer once again for my sister, Carol, and nephew, Jake. Carol has bailed Jake out of jail again and in so doing almost got herself thrown in jail. She does have a temper. Please pray for her also b/c she’s a CPA and makes a living off of it but lately hasn’t been able to concentrate for any length of tome to get her work done. Thank you.
Have a great and blessed weekend sisters.
