Good Morning all. My prayer, May His light so shine in us by His Spirit that He is known, His grace and love felt, the name of Jesus lifted up. Erb, Chapter 1 has so much in it. It struck me that though God is telling them how evil they are and exclaims their guilt and corruption and His disgust with their sacrifices because they have joined in pagan practices and their hearts are not right. Yet interspersed is scripture like verse 18 Come now let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet they shall be white as snow, though they are crimson, they shall be like wool.” And then verse 25-27 I will turn my hand against you; I will purge away your dross and remove your impurities. I will restore your judges as in days of old, your counselors as in the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City. Zion will be redeemed with justice, her pentitent ones with righteousness.” I so hear God’s grace through Jesus in these verses. How amazing our Father’s plans to save us, even in the midst of all the evil. Redemption was coming. Sorry to go on. Isaiah is full of so much, I don’t want to take away from SRT in any way, but will try to post how reading along in Isaiah is blessing me, or a verse that is speaking to me when I can. Thank you Erb! Wouldn’t that be wonderful if all of us with Christ in our hearts stood out as an amazing, blessed people? We are called to be something higher, a light for all to see. I want people to see there is something special about me, and wonder how they can get that! Lord help me to always have a light for your love to shine for others to see.

Maura, so excited to have you join me in reading Isaiah, along with our SRT devotional!! Here’s what stood out to me in chapter 1… verses 22-23 “Your silver has become dross, your choice wine is diluted with water. 23 Your rulers are rebels, partners with thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts. They do not defend the cause of the fatherless; the widow’s case does not come before them.” ….so much truth and wisdom there!! What stood out to you?
Victoria, when I started writing this comment, to let you know I was praying… the word VICTORY came to me!! Then I noticed that victory is even part of your name!! CLAIM victory in this winter season, knowing that NEW LIFE is coming!!! Take heart dear sister!! You’re walking this out well.
Fran, my heart sank reading about her situation… I have an Aunt who has gone through something very similar… she was so discouraged, disheartened and depressed it was SCARY!!! There was literally nothing we could do to help except pray and try to call her. …But just when things seemed at their bleakest that’s when God opened ALL the doors!!!! All of them at once!!! It was crazy how FAST things happened, after waiting for over a year, she FINALLY got the surgery and care she needed, and just yesterday she was sent HOME!!!! I pray for the doors to be open for Fran, and that God comforts her during this awful time…
