I pray this verse for the families who have lost their loved ones to gun violence. I do not know how to empathize with them, but I do know how to pray for peace upon their souls as nothing could be or should be as painful as what they have experienced and will continue to experience for their entire lives. I pray for rest upon their souls and minds as they navigate so much pain and grief and lack of control. I pray we all find rest in you, Lord.

A beautiful verse to focus me again on my “anchor word” for 2021 – rest. I haven’t been doing too great of a job on resting lately – both spiritually and physically. Working full time and taking two evening classes has me running around all day, trying to make the most of my time. Along with that, my anxiety has started little by little creeping back in. So much so, that it has taken away some of my meaningful time with God the past few days. Pray for me, sisters, so that I may rest in His love and forgiveness and not my own negative thoughts or worries. Today’s verse reminded me that I need to rest my mind and my spirit.

So thankful that I can put my hope in God and rest in him. I am having a hard time doing that lately. I have been struggling with anxiety and worries I can’t get out of my head. I want to trust in God’s words, but I’m having a hard time. Please pray for me my sisters. I love this community!❤️
