Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
Above all, fear the LORD and worship him faithfully with all your heart; consider the great things he has done for you.
—1 Samuel 12:24

God has brought me through many things. Dark places where I could not see a way forward. Out of a toxic relationship and brought me a kind and beautiful love that I was not even looking for and when I wasn’t expecting it. I know he can deliver me through my current situation because he has brought me peace joy love and success in the past and he will do it again when I’m ready in His time
Fear the Lord. He is worthy of all praise.
Lord, what you have just done for me, I have no words. No matter how things turn out, Isaiah 43:2 will forever stick with me.
I shall rest in you always.
We talked in church yesterday about having a kingdom mindset and facing the tough realization that very few of us have prayers that are centered around God’s kingdom and not our personal kingdom. We pray for safety traveling and praise him for various blessings like our family and finances, which are good and should be done! But it was an encouraging reminder for me that my prayers can’t just be focused around my own kingdom. That reminds me of today’s prompt. Today I will try to be more thankful for things that are in the kingdom of God and not just my own. Today I thank God for sending His beautiful perfect son. I thank Him for my salvation. I thank Him for each of His children’s faces that I’ll get to see today and pray I can be a light of Him to each of them.
I am thankful for a job, friendship, quality time with my family, He has done many great things for me!
I so love how God has been with me/us throughout this whole time of fear, unrest, sheltering in our homes….
Always when my anxiety has threatened He has brought His Word to me to reassure and comfort me. And I share with others
And He is here.
Someone said yesterday,”Whatever my fiery furnace may be, I want to walk toward it with the knowledge, with the peace, that it is well with my soul.” Amen sister!
Thank you all for your comments each day, ❤️
I am struck this morning by how different the two translations are. The book begins 1 Samuel chapter 12: 24 with Above all, fear the Lord… Whereas the app version starts with Only fear the Lord…It’s interesting how different just a couple of words can offer different meanings in different translations! Wishing everyone a blessed day!
HE has done many great things for me and I am grateful! My Jesus gets all the glory!
Thank you, God!

John 21:25. Oh John, would that you had written more, dictated longer, that we might know the “many other things which Jesus did.” Our God is an over the top God, an abundant life God. The more I know of Him, the more I want to know. Our God has done great things and greater yet to come. Praise His holy name!
Earlier in 1 Samuel 12 (NKJV)
20 Then Samuel said to the people, “Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. 21 And do not turn aside; for then you would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing.
Empty things – what are the ones in my life? And how many have I sought, chased after, obtained at great cost (money, integrity, time, relationships)? I can say one thing – it was wasted effort every time.
Lord, I pray that I serve You and not turn away from You, that I will trust You and Your love for me, Your plans for me. I pray that each person, family, neighborhood, community, town, county, state and country would focus on You, serve You and not turn away to go after all the empty things in our world today. For sure and certain, they are nothing.
Happy weekend, sisters!
Amen & Amen. Thank you Searching.
Amen!
