So grateful for this timely reminder. Jesus points Martha and us to hope in Him. You are good, God. Help us keep our eyes fixed on You.

I read this prayer by David and feels this applies to these times as well

    Psalm 144
12May our sons flourish in their youth
    like well-nurtured plants.
May our daughters be like graceful pillars,
    carved to beautify a palace.
    13May our barns be filled
    with crops of every kind.
May the flocks in our fields multiply by the thousands,
    even tens of thousands,
14and may our oxen be loaded down with produce.
May there be no enemy breaking through our walls,
    no going into captivity,
no cries of alarm in our town squares.
15Yes, joyful are those who live like this!
Joyful indeed are those whose God is the LORD.

Good morning sisters, hope you’re all having a great start to your Saturday. Yesterday morning while I was very busy at work, my son text me. He was asking if I thought this was the end. (Assuming he was asking because of all the chaos with our current world situation) I’m at work and should not be on my phone. One of the teachers saw me and asked if I was OK. I told her about the text. She being a mother who also has a son in college said, “take a deep breath” and you answer your boy. “It’s ok”.
I know my son knows the truth but I keep in mind he is still a kid. This morning as I read the WORD that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life is a reminder again that He’s got this! All I have to do is believe. The WORD I sent to my son was Matthew 24:36. “No one knows the time or the hour.” While it wasn’t too encouraging to him at the moment I reminded him that God has it all under control and that we need to keep living our lives for Jesus knowing that we have an eternal home. He later responded to my message with a “heart emoji”.

Bessie H. all the churches and schools in the greater Kansas City area have been cancelled also.
Please pray for my son and his fiance, they just sold their house the first day it was on the market and the put a bid in on a house they like so pray they get the new one.

    1. Bessie H says:

I will pray for your son, Dorothy and your daughter, Churchmouse. May God, who goes before us, clear the way and answer our needs in a way that only He can do. He is so much bigger than this. The Lord of Hosts is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge.

  6. Dorothy says:

This is one of my favorite verses and reminds me that one day I will be meeting my loved ones in Heaven because they believed and I believe. Yes there have times I have wondered why and even come close to doubting but I have never stopped believing. I have some family members that have stopped believing but my faith runs deep.

  7. Ramona says:

    Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your mercy. Thank you for giving your only Son Jesus Christ who died for my sins once and for all. Give me rest in your word to know the peace of your heart. Let me sit in the rumble and brokenness of this world and in myself. Let us all look hard and acknowledge our sins. Knowing our Victory is in your Son Jesus Christ our savior.

  8. K D says:

Amidst the uncertainty, may we hold onto our belief in a loving Father who is sovereign!
