What’s always stuck with me about that passage is when he talks about “abide in My love” it gives the picture of steeping in His love

  3. Mari V says:

HE loves me and I love HIM! I don’t want to be anywhere else! Yet I fail so much but HE remains the same.

    The Message version says:

“Make yourselves at home in my love”.

What a warm, comforting way to think about the love of Jesus.
May we all bask in that love today.

    1. Nancy Singleton says:

      I love that version!

  6. Churchmouse says:

“Remain in my love.“ Seems like such a simple, straightforward command. And why wouldn’t I want to remain in, rest in, rely on the love of my good good Father? Because I am sometimes a fickle follower. I wander. I doubt. I question. I neglect. And so I step out of His love by my choices, not His. Oh I still have His love. He will never withdraw it. But I lack awareness of it. I forget. Help me Lord to trust in Your great love and thus remain in it. How grateful I am that Your love endures forever even when I am fickle.

Good morning, ladies! Let’s all abide in God’s love for us today and remember the grace we’ve been shown in his Son. May we extend that love and grace to others.
