Day 28

Grace Day

from the Advent 2019: A Thrill of Hope reading plan

Galatians 4:4–5

BY She Reads Truth

Advent is a season of anticipation and celebration. The weary world rejoices at the Messiah’s first advent, even as we long for His return. Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on the hope we have because Christ left the glories of heaven to be born in Bethlehem.

When the time came to completion, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
—Galatians 4:4–5

So good. And with that my word for 2020 was made clear: rest. Not physical test, but resting in the Lord.

Adoption as sons, co-heirs with Christ, child of God…what a privilege and blessing of salvation!

Thank you Churchmouse for the reminder that our times are in His very capable hands. He is the God of just in time. I can test in His sovereignty.

One pastor I like mentioned tho beautiful equation that I love: God is good + God loves you + God is in control = your peace. Praying that I go into 2020 surrendering all to Jesus. No matter the struggles I face, He is in control, so I can have peace.

I love this equation. Beautifully put.
