Day 6

Grace Day

from the Psalms of Gratitude reading plan

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

BY She Reads Truth

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always!
Pray constantly.
Give thanks in everything,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
-1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Gratitude is not just an emotion. Rejoicing is not a passive pursuit. The Bible instructs us to declare God’s goodness in every circumstance! We are to pray, seek, and give thanks with an expectant, joyful heart. THIS is God’s will for us.

His love for you is steadfast, no matter the path you’re walking.
His promises hold fast, even when your world is crumbling.
In everything, He is good. In everything give thanks.

Giving thanks in injustice for me looks like grieving for the injustice that was/is occurring, while also thanking God that this is not my permanent home & that one day I get to go be home with our sweet Jesus where there is no injustices or pain!
