This to me is a reminder to be kind to myself. If Jesus forgives me of my sins then I need to let them go and forgive myself (and others). For if the King of kings can forgive then who am I to be unforgiving to others and myself??

So, the other day, in the middle of the night, I rolled over and my husband’s spot was empty. The house was quiet. We have a little viewing area from our room to the downstairs where my husband will sometimes sleep on the recliner – he wasn’t there. My first thought and words were, “Lord, You came and didn’t take me? I know I am your child – I know you love me – I know I’m yours. If he (my husband) has been raptured and I am here,…I don’t even know where to turn next. I only believe in You. I trust you. I don’t know why this would be but, I will trust You. My redemption, is only because of You and You are all to me. I still believe.” I got up from my knees, laid down, and went back to sleep. In the morning I saw my husband asleep on the recliner. (I told him what happened…he was checking on our pets, because they were barking, when I looked in the night. )
Weeds of my heritage can sprout up at the craziest times but, praise God, He knows my name and I am His solely by the grace of Jesus Christ. I am free.
And yet, Lord, I see so many people bound. Old and young. Rich and poor. Lost, without You. Please Lord, empower us to live boldly for You. Bring people into your saving grace and when they see us…may their only vision, only vision, be of You and your great love. For one of these days, You will come as You have promised and take your redeemed home with You. Oh for that day Lord Jesus, and yet, while You tarry, while we a given breath for this day – may we make a difference for You. Wisdom and Courage, Lord…Wisdom and Courage and Grace. Amen.
