Day 6

Grace Day

from the Because He Lives reading plan

Zechariah 12:10

BY She Reads Truth

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

“Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the house of David and the residents of Jerusalem, and they will look at me whom they pierced. They will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly for him as one weeps for a firstborn.”
—Zechariah 12:10

Praise God that Grace never runs out! That’s what it means to serve a Living Resurrected God who already paid it! When we mess up, repeatedly, as we WILL do, there is no end to His grace…if there was, ours would be a works based faith and it is not, Praise God! We just have to ask that His Spirit daily remind us to keep that attitude of dependence. We are only alive in Him and not slaves to sin when we are connected to our Vine. Then we can live in true freedom. I love you Lord!

I have the most wonderful siblings. At one point when we were teenagers we were serving the Lord together. It was wonderful. They are still the most wonderful brothers and sisters I could ever have. Since then somehow walked away. PRAYING they will come back. They are walking this journey with me coming along side me going above and beyond. I have become stronger, stronger in my faith I hope they see that. I hope they see that it’s Jesus and not me.

Our need for home…create, renew, renew, restore, sustain a willing spirit within me.
Our need for a Savior…Nothing can separate me from the love of the Lord.
Our need for resurrection…God is able.
Our need for a mediator…He is holy, generous, faithful, and powerful.
Our need for grace…unmerited favor…His amazing gift me every day.

I want to thank you for your words, they’ve inspired my wandering soul.

    Churchmouse:
    I agree!
I pray for my own forgiveness tonight – as a believer that my grace has not run out & my holy god & my saviour, my lord.. continually forgives me & when i see him, for all that he is – I am safe & found worthy of his redeeming love.

Pray for my zeal to return & to know he is still my king of kings.

I have been in a spiritual battle for many months, i grow tired. I pray for refuge.

“And they will look at me whom they pierced”

May I look at Christ and see:

*My need for Home – and my need for His presence
*My need for a Savior – to save me from myself
*My need for Resurrection – and know His resurrection power is available to me today
*My need for a mediator – and know He is my advocate even now – standing between my sin and the punishment I deserve
*My need for a Righteous King – and know one day the Real King will come

  7. Searching says:

Amen, Churchmouse. My prayer list is so long for those near and dear to me that aren’t saved.

Zechariah 12 is a chapter that is both hopeful and sad. “On that day” Jesus will be revealed for all He is. There will be vindication and rejoicing – and there will be mourning by those who failed to recognize Him. A day is coming when the door to the ark of safety will be closed. It’s imperative to be on the right side of that door. I call upon the Holy Spirit for conviction of those who do not yet believe. May the Spirit of Truth penetrate their hearts and minds.
