Day 13

Grace Day

from the Attributes of God reading plan

1 Chronicles 16:34–36

BY She Reads Truth

Use today to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his faithful love endures forever.
35 And say: “Save us, God of our salvation;
gather us and rescue us from the nations
so that we may give thanks to your holy name
and rejoice in your praise.
36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel
from everlasting to everlasting.”

Then all the people said, “Amen” and “Praise the LORD.”

    God is good!! In our moments of strength and victory He is good. In weakness and sorrow He is good. Thank you God for your kindness and goodness towards us. Thank you Father for your ever-present Spirit with us. I bow before you today my God, King, Savior, and Counselor. ❤️

    “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” (1 Chronicles 16:34) How glad I am that we end this study with a reminder of His love and His goodness! We have seen all of His “omnis-“ and, honestly, they could cause fear if we were not fully assured of His love for us and His goodness. But knowing His love and trusting His goodness, oh, everything else is comforting and reassuring. This is MY God.

    Fellow readers, do any of you have the Attributes of God book that they can add the profile to Goodreads? I didn’t buy the book this time and you need the barcode and information on it to add it. If anyone is on Goodreads and has the book, please consider adding it. Thank you!

    Thank you Lord that you are good, even when I’m not, YOU are good and continue to be faithful. Today I pray that I prioritize and get things done. After time with my mentor, it’s a long run then home for chores and errands with my mom. LORD help me to keep an attitude of gratitude and patience.

    I love this verse. I worked at a camp for four summers and attended there since I was in third grade and this verse is one of the songs we sing there. It’s a more upbeat song and every time I read this verse, I can’t help but break out into song in my head!

    Today’s scripture drives home the concept of the weekly Grace Days! Whenever I rest and reflect on God’s word, I am going to give thanks to Him for the opportunity to be here and have the human experience before the heavenly one.
