Day 27

Grace Day

from the Luke reading plan

Ezekiel 34:11-12

BY She Reads Truth

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

11 “‘For this is what the Lord God says: See, I myself will search for my flock and look for them. 12 As a shepherd looks for his sheep on the day he is among his scattered flock, so I will look for my flock. I will rescue them from all the places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and total darkness.
Ezekiel 34:11–12

    God will not forsake us.
Even when we stray, He is still the good shepherd and will come to our rescue.

“Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out” (Ez 34:11). God doesn’t just put up a billboard and wait to see who answers His invitation. He searches out, woos, and wins each of His children. He created the world, yet He loves and draws individuals! He loves and draws you. And me. ❤️

This is in reply to Ashley and her miscarriage. I couldn’t get it to reply under your post. I will be praying for you Ashley. I’ve been through that myself many years ago. I am praying for your complete physical healing and for comforting words from friends and family. You are not alone.

  4. Ashley Thomas says:

Thank you God for coming for me when I strayed! I know you will always find me.

Also pray for the children in the extended family. They were very attached to their aunty and are very sceptical regarding a loving God who allows so much pain and sorrow. This has really shook them all up. Theo are questioning God’s goodness’.
A typo in my previous comment- it’s God not good.

This new year has been very tough for us as a family. My sister in law, a wonderful God fearing lady passed away on 25th due to septicemia shock. She and my brother pastor our church and have faithfully served the Lord. Just in her forties she leaves behind two teenaged kids and a young husband. The church all over our city and the world were praying for her. Through this study of Luke there was so much hope. God’s plans were different however. It’s tough to accept his will. Please pray for our family, the church and especially my brother and the children. Very tough to say good gave and he has taken away. It was so sudden. There’s so much I want to say but words aren’t enough. Pray for all of us to lean on God even in these tough times.
