Day 20

Grace Day

from the Nehemiah reading plan

2 Corinthians 1:20-22

BY She Reads Truth

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

For every one of God’s promises is “Yes” in him. Therefore, through him we also say “Amen” to the glory of God. Now it is God who strengthens us together with you in Christ, and who has anointed us. He has also put his seal on us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment.
—2 Corinthians 1:20-22

Lord please keep the Holy Spirit within me, as it’s the most important guide I physically feel.

  2. Anita says:

    Father of kindness
    You have poured out grace
You have brought me out of darkness
You have filled me with peace

    Giver of mercy
You’re my help in time of need
Lord, I can’t help but sing

    Faithful, You are
    Faithful, forever You will be
    Faithful, You are
All Your promises are “Yes and Amen”
All Your promises are “Yes and Amen”

  3. Dawn Palsgrove says:

This is one of my favorite verses!!! HIS promises are YES in HIM. It’s HIS job to keep HIS promises, and He WILL be faithful. There are so many promises in Scripture and this verse reminds us that our God will keep His word. I do have to remind myself that His timing and mine are never the same, but He will always keep His promises.

  4. Kate says:

I’m going to church for the first time in 5 years tomorrow. It’s not easy for me to go into new environments like that as an introvert and single mom, but I’m trying to focus on how God wants me to be part of a group if believers in a real world face to face way and trust Him to point me in the right direction when it comes to picking a church.

    1. Janice says:

      Prayering you feel God’s peace

    2. Susan says:

Praying for you! Yes it will be tough, but will be the best decision you are making for your eternal life, not just yours, but your kids. Think about them as you walk through the doors and it will make it easier! My daughter has slipped away from church and I have been praying this same prayer for her. We all need community in believers, we cannot do this alone, especially our children. The world will swallow them up!

    3. Julie says:

Praying for you as you find your new church home. That your faith my strengthened by this decision. You can do this :) For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength Philippians 4:13 NLT <3

    4. Mari says:

I just prayed for you right now Kate. You’re making the best decision! And yes I I agree with Susan. Think of your children. If they are young or preschoolers most churches have a MOPS group which is for mothers of preschool children. My children are now older and part of the junior high and high school ministry. And I can’t tell you how thankful I am for these groups for my children as we were in walking through a tough valley.. Their pastors have come alongside them to walk this life with them. And many are walking alongside me. I’m praying for you Kate!

    5. Trayce says:

So happy for you Kate that you are taking that step to get back in church. I cannot imagine my life without my church family. It is so important to worship with others. And like others have posted, so important for your kids! I pray God leads you to the right church for you and your family. Please let us know tomorrow how this first step goes for you!

    6. Emily says:

Good for you!! Proud of you for doing that

  5. Churchmouse says:

    Every promise.
    “Yes.”
    “Amen.”
    Strengthened.
    In Christ.
    Anointed.
    Sealed.
    Given.
    The Holy Spirit.
    In hearts.

    Yes!
    Amen!

    1. Susan says:

      Amen!

    2. Julie says:

      Amen!

    3. Mari says:

Wow, I love how you do that with keywords. I went back to and read it again!

    4. PamC says:

      And another Amen!
