Day 82 ❤️

I keep seeing Paul as a small group leader to the Thessalonians. I hope I can take the encouragement and wisdom her gives to them and translate it into my own life!

11Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you, 12and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, ❤️-ellie

What great joy to know the Thessalonians had not departed from the faith amidst deep affliction

I just love the visual that the Message version of 1 Thessalonians 3:12 creates: “And may the Master pour on the love so it fills your lives and splashes over on everyone around you, just as it does from us to you. May you be infused with strength and purity, filled with confidence in the presence of God our Father when our Master Jesus arrives with all his followers.”
May I be so full of the love of God that it can’t help but overflow to everyone I encounter, through the way I choose my words toward others, the thoughts I think, the attitudes I bring, the actions I do. A great and convicting reminder to me that I need a daily refresher on God’s love because without it I have nothing in and of myself to give or pour out.-

13 so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
Thank You, Lord, that You are the One who establishes my heart blameless in holiness before God. It’s not something I can make happen, I can only cooperate with You as You conform me to the likeness of Christ.
So liberating! ❤

Incredible Insight! I am blessed by this!

One of the most beautiful things about Numbers to me is when the Lord tells Israel that the Levites are His.
It just strikes me so deeply because in Genesis, when Leah and Jacob are having children, she calls the third Levi, meaning ‘attached’. “Now my husband will become ‘attached’ to me”.
But it doesn’t work. Jacob always loves Rachel more and ignores Leah’s sons in favor of Rachel’s.
But how incredibly beautiful is it, that 400 years after this unattached boy lives, God takes his descendants, singles them out, and binds them to Himself above all others?
Bind us to you, Lord!-
Amen! This is beautiful!
