  1. Oceanna King says:

18 And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good, and also of the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for the good work. – Nehemiah 2:18

Merry Christmas to all my sisters here, and God bless the class of 2021 as we come to the end of this year of reading – it has been the most wonderful gift.

  3. Carol Bowman says:

12Next to him Shallum the son of Hallohesh, ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, repaired, he and his daughters.

  4. Sarah Johnson says:

My Bible highlights that one of Nehemiah’s striking characteristics is he frequently turns to God in prayer before pretty much any situation or conversation. I pray that in my life today and always, I am intentional about turning to God and inviting him into conversations I’m about to have or situations I’m about to enter.

  5. JoAnn Foley-DeFiore says:

12-14“They will go to war against the Lamb but the Lamb will defeat them, proof that he is Lord over all lords, King over all kings, and those with him will be the called, chosen, and faithful.” Let is remember that we are called, chosen and faithful to the one and only Lord and King Jesus.

5And I said, “O Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 11O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant, and to the prayer of your servants who delight to fear your name, and give success to your servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.”

Now I was cupbearer to the king.
