  1. Sarah Johnson says:

The comparisons in the differences in rest for the wicked and the faithful is so start in revelation. We will find rest from our labor when we find our life’s purpose in the lord!

  2. E Hong says:

7And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

  3. Heidi L says:

Some believe these are 144,000 Jews that follow Christ and spread the gospel message to those who remain on the earth during the great tribulation.

  4. Anna says:

Really enjoyed reading about Esther whom I knew nothing about. The reading on revelation really has my mind stirring. 144,000? Are only 144,000 to be with Christ?

    1. Lauren S says:

That’s what Jehovah Witnesses believe – I prefer Heidi’s explanation!

    2. S. Carter says:

In Revelations 7:9-17 there is further explanation exceeding the 144,00 from the tribes of Israel.

    3. Brooke Alvial says:

I’ve been studying this. I believe the 144,000 are the ones that go through the tribulation and gain salvation during it. There will be many more in heaven that either died before that time or were of the ones that were taken to a safe place in the wilderness during it. It’s a complicated matter so I don’t speak with 100% confidence in this but this is the best way all the scripture from beginning to end makes sense.

    4. Ruth Lorentz says:

Thank you for your insight, I too was wondering.

  5. Justine Fern says:

oh I LOVE Esther! (I’m currently expecting my second baby and Esther is most definitely on my list!)

I love that these Jews who did not go back to Jerusalem (like they were urged to by the prophets), we not forgotten by God in their reflect of His calling. the Lord still used Esther to save HIS people! and even though they weren’t obeying God fully by remaining in a foreign land they still understood that they were God’s chosen people! they still took courage in His promise to care for them.

I’m so thankful the Lord continues to use me for His purposes despite my sin…

    1. Sara says:

      Congrats Justine!

  6. Katrina says:

Esther 4:16 reminds us that we should trust him even if it means placing our security on the line

    1. Justine Fern says:

ah! Katrina! I was just thinking about you! I hadn’t seen you post a verse in a couple days and realized how much I missed seeing you post your favorite verse of the day – thank you so much for diligently being in cyber community with us :)

and also – very well put! glad I got to ‘see’ you today!

  7. Pam B says:

The book of Ester is one of my favorites. Beth Moore’s Bible study on it is probably my favorite of hers so far, but they are all so good! I highly recommend it!!

    1. Justine Fern says:

I’ll have to check it out after the first of the year! love Beth Moore!

  8. Suzanne says:

Beautiful to see how God prepared a way of escape for His people, placing Esther in her position.

    1. Carie says:

I agree Suzanne! Love the verse that says…14…. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” I think about this verse often in my life. Why in His great sovereignty did he place me here in this place, and in this time? I want to always be aware that he has called me with a calling (eph. 4)

      1. Gabrielle says:

Yes!! I just read in “my utmost for his greatest” about how belief is not intellectual, but moral, and how our belief should propel us to follow God when he reveals to us certain plans he has. How cool that these two passages reinforced that! It prompts me to think about where I am now and what gods call is for me.

      2. Ruth Lorentz says:

        ❤️
