Lamentations is such a heartfelt cry to God. We can remember and tell god about our affliction- he wants us to come to him! But he also wants us to remember the reason for our hope – him and his great love and compassion that is new every morning

25The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
26It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord. -
18But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

I’m so thankful that the Bible plan has us read passages we may not choose on our own. Lamentations 3 is such an example for how to suffer well. Recognize God’s sovereignty over all affairs, cry out to Him and trust in Him, remind yourself that He is full of steadfast love and abundant in mercy every morning.
