  2. Jillian Johnson says:

Love it! What a good reminder to praise Him amidst the chaos and/or the lack of basic necessities. He provides in his time.

  3. Sharon Ide says:

    18yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation. In every season, knowing that the light has been shown to us in a dark place, may we rejoice in the Lord, the God of our salvation.

  4. E Hong says:

9For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.

  5. Crystal Davidson says:

2May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

  6. Gretta says:

Reminds me very much of these song lyrics (a favorite of mine):
“When You don’t move the mountain I’m needing You to move. When You don’t part the water I wish I could walk through. When You don’t give the answers as I cry out to You, I will trust, I will trust, I will trust in You.”

2 How long, Lord, must I call for help and You do not listen? or cry out to You about violence and You do not save?
3 Why do You force me to look at injustice? Why do You tolerate wrongdoing?
12 Are You not from eternity, Yahweh my God?
So why do You tolerate those who are treacherous?
    Why are You silent…?
These questions in Hab 1 really struck me today as I️ feel very much stuck in an ugly, ungodly, and maybe evil situation. The answers throughout are powerful:
2:3 For the vision is yet for the appointed time…Though it delays, WAIT for it, since it will certainly come and not be late. 4…But the righteous one WILL live by his faith.
2:14 For the earth WILL be filled with the knowledge of the Lord’s glory, as the waters cover the sea.
3:2 Lord, I have heard the report about You; Lord, I stand in awe of Your deeds.
Revive Your work in these years; make it known in these years. In Your wrath remember mercy!
3:17 Though the fig tree does not bud and there is no fruit on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, [no fruit, no livestock, no reserve financially or physically that makes any difference, a season of dryness/drought/seeming impossibility to get out of]:
18 YET I will triumph in Yahweh; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!
19 Yahweh my Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like those of a deer and enables me to walk on mountain heights! (If I️ could underline this one I️ would!). **HE IS my source of strength, of position, and direction of how I️ should move. And 2 Peter 1 tells us He’s given us all we need to be able to live a godly life, “escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires.” Needed this today.

SarahMay you are important to me. I thank God for you and i pray these words from Habakuk along with you. And from Psalm 126 today too!! Your joy is coming!

        ❤️

    2. Kate says:

Yes! He is our strength! Habakkuk’s circumstances did not change or get better or easier YET he chose to not complain and to put his trust in and gain strength from God. God is not always going to take away the hard things in life but He can help us focus on Him and find JOY in the midst of the trials of this life.
