  1. Susan says:

Ali; be assured you have a Spiritual Gift, maybe more than one. God will reveal it to you. Also, most churches offer classes on this topic to help you feel what your’s is. If nothing else, study what the Word says regarding Gifts, you may find something pops out as a natural path for you. God will bless you in this because of your desire to know what it is.

  2. Kaeleigh Maggrah says:

“1 Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God.” 1 Peter 4:1, 2 . This is the second time today I have heard this verse and it’s not even 10 am. The part about the “same way of thinking” jumps out for me. Praise God.

  3. Ali says:

1 Peter 10 talks about using our spiritual gifts. Honestly I am still not sure what mine is. Does anyone else feel that way? I pray that it will be revealed to me!

    1. Ashlee says:

For the longest time I let the enemy convince me that I didn’t have a gift because it wasn’t “typical”. It took years of prayer and personally working through trust issue for me to believe it after the same gift had been spoken over me multiple times, yet I still didn’t believe it—why? Because deep down I didn’t think I could. I’m not saying this is the case for you, but I trust that our father will reveal your gift to you and he may already have–it just might be such an integrated part of you, you’ve never thought twice about it. Prayers friend xx

    2. Beth says:

I agree with Ashley! It most likely is such an integrated part of you that you haven’t thought twice about it. A lot of people in my family have the gift of “helps” that have them seeing areas of need and filling in… They have told me it doesn’t always seem like a gifting more like a compulsion to help (e.g., the floor may need sweeping and my sister has already got out a broom and is sweeping before I’ve even noticed the floor is dirty OR a family may have just had a baby and my mom is already bringing over a meal… ) I used to think I was selfish because I didn’t see these things, but I was wandering around making friends with everyone who was downtrodden for whatever reason… Turns out I have mercy as a gifting… Again, it’s pretty much a compulsion to do it… I guess what I am saying is, I wouldn’t stress too much about it! You’re probably already using your gift and if you live for Christ, you will be using your gift for Him and not squandering it. I prayed for you! And I will continue to do so as I remember…

  4. Laura says:

12 Dear friends, don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeal comes among you to test you as if something unusual were happening to you.

19 So those who suffer according to God’s will should, while doing what is good, entrust themselves to a faithful Creator.

I’ve read these verses for years and thought I had some inkling of what they meant…Lord help me, don’t let my faith fail and please help me trust You no matter what!

  5. Katie R says:

Really struck by the challenge in 1 Peter 4:9 “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.” Sometimes I think I’m stingy with my hospitality or less likely to offer it to people that challenge me or seem more self-centered/intrusive than others. But then, that’s not real hospitality is it?

    1. Aubrie says:

      Amen!

  6. Carie says:

    Loved this verse today…Jer 50:34 Yet their Redeemer is strong;
the Lord Almighty is his name.
He will vigorously defend their cause
so that he may bring rest to their land,
but unrest to those who live in Babylon.

  7. Katrina says:

1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

  8. Becky says:

This verse in 1 Peter hit me this morning:
“11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (NASB)
Just a good reminder with some tangible examples to do everything to the glory of God and not for our own gain or fame.
