  1. E Hong says:

18For I will surely save you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but you shall have your life as a prize of war, because you have put your trust in me, declares the Lord.’”

  2. SarahMay says:

Titus 2:13—“while we wait…” We are an impatient people. Life is fast-paced, microwaved, convenient-focused, overnight shipped, we want it now. Waiting for things like salvation of family members or friends, praying for big things, pursuing God’s will on our finite timeline, waiting for HIM to put all the pieces in place at the right time without our meddling is HARD! And it challenges and reminds us that what we’re waiting for isn’t these finite things we can see or measure after all—it’s salvation and eternal hope that are the goal. And it’s for all men (and women)!

God has given us the GRACE to wait, to say ‘no’ to ungodly living, to be self-controlled and live rightly in an unjust world.

Lord, let me wait on you, your timing, your perfect will. Let me pray harder than I act. Let me wait more than I act. You move when you’re ready. I trust your perfect plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    1. Reene says:

Amen! This stood out to me as well today more than ever because just earlier today I was feeling overwhelmed with being the only one in my household willing to give all of me to God again, turn away from the wicked ways of the flesh. They’ll come to church with me but their faith in god is still unstable and they are unwilling to search and trust in God that he will show up . I pray God you will give me more patience and keep me on your path so that I can be the example you need me to be. You have a plan and you know what you’re doing . I trust in you.

❤️. Agreeing with you in prayer.

    2. AnnieB says:

      ❤️ thanks SarahMay.

  3. Lauren Bourgeois says:

9 Bondservants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

We’re all bondservants of the Lord.
I love the last line, I want to be adorned with the doctrine of the Lord. And to be adorned, it takes an action. Let’s put on our Saviors doctrine each day, that it would reside in/on our hearts, minds, actions, and words.

  4. Belinda says:

2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. 3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. 6 Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled. 7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

Such excellent advice for any follower of Christ!
A perfect model of how we should conduct ourselves at any age.

  5. Brittany B says:

Zedekiah only heard what he wanted to hear, ignoring the Lord. My prayer today is that we all have open ears to EVERYTHING God is saying to us, no matter if we want to hear it or not!

  6. Katie R says:

Love the reminders in Titus today of what it looks like to be a wise, older woman!

  7. Nicole says:

I love this verse from today’s reading:
15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
God gives us power in our words and actions, we just have to follow through!

  8. Wakeji says:

‘I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me, declares the Lord.’ ”… In the midst of all that is happening in the world, just like God said it would happen in the last days, He will save, rescue, shield, protect those who Trust in him…

    1. Shirl says:

Praise God. This was also reassuring to me. When Jeremiah said, “Obey now the voice of the Lord in what I say to you, and it shall be well with you, and your life shall be spared” in v20 I hope that I can obey and trust
