  1. Rachael Hebblethwaite says:

I want to bring peace not disorder. Lord, help me to capture my jealous and selfish thoughts and exchange them for wisdom from above

    1. Mea Anthony says:

      Amen!

  2. Kalyn Narramore says:

2For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.

Ouch. This is an area I need help in, Lord.

  3. Victoria O says:

9With the tongue we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in God’s likeness. 10Blessing and cursing come out of the same mouth. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way.

A reminder to show our faith through both deeds and words. ❤️

  4. Sarah Johnson says:

I love the verse in Job about the hope of the Godless being fragile “like a spider’s web” or like a “plant with its roots wrapped around rocks.” This hope eventually withers and perishes. But when I need hope, I know that I have an eternal source of it who died for me so I could have this hope.

  5. Ashley Brei says:

James is so blunt! I never noticed before, but I think that reading the Old Testament with the loftier language paired it provides an even starker contrast. I love the pairings that SheReadsTruth has done through these readings, so powerful. They truly give me new insight and allow my mind to better piece together the Bible as a wholistic narrative.

  7. E Hong says:

17 “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” God’s wisdom is like no other -ellie

    1. Sharon Ide says:

May we pray for this wisdom as Solomon did for surely we will not receive without asking!

  8. Amy Beth says:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
