  1. Emily says:

    18 Therefore the Lord is waiting to show you mercy,
    and is rising up to show you compassion,
    for the Lord is a just God. Isaiah 30:18

    How often we forget. He is waiting. He is rising up. He loves when His lost turn and repent and realize He was there all along. God help me to live out this Truth so that they might turn and turn soon.

  2. Joni says:

    When we’ve been running on our own, trying to work out our own solutions, we eventually run out of steam, run out of answers. And God is there waiting. Waiting to be gracious to us.

    17 A thousand shall flee at the threat of one;
    at the threat of five you shall flee,
    till you are left
    like a flagstaff on the top of a mountain,
    like a signal on a hill. 18 Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,
    and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
    For the Lord is a God of justice;
    blessed are all those who wait for him. Isaiah 30

    Whoah, the journey of Paul is so incredible! I love reading each day about the trials he endures to tell his faith.

  4. K says:

    30:15
    “In repentance and rest is your salvation,
    in quietness and trust is your strength”

    His love is unfathomable, Grace unyielding, ceaseless in Peace and there is no earning nor striving EVER.
    He loves because He is!

    Lord guide me to find rest in You. Still my mind, body and soul to recieve You!

  5. Christina D. says:

    1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.
    Too often I look for reassurance and security from mortal earthly things when I should always and firstly look to the Lord. It is confounding to me how I still do this on hard days and in tough seasons even though I know they are not eternal. Only after being failed by these things do I finally turn to the Lord for my comfort and peace. I’m reminded of a line from the hymn What a Friend We Have in Jesus “…oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” Praying for the Lord to grow my trust and fix my gaze on Him alone. Lord, remind me to call on you first. Help me to remember that you are the only one who will never fail and never abandon. Thank You for your constant presence even when I wander and clutch to earthly securities.

  6. Emily S says:

    [Isaiah 30:20] And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher.

    I love seeing the heart of God in this passage. If you didn’t, take the time to go back and look for it. Immediately my heart thinks of how they would see Jesus, and then in the verse following, receive the Holy Spirit.

    I am just comforted by the character of God, for he is God of all, and does bring pain, but it’s not for pain’s sake, and ultimately, he is love, and loved us before we loved him.
    God made a way; he made the sacrifice.
    All glory and praise be to God forever. Amen!

  7. Katrina P says:

    No matter when we veer off of our path He’s set for us, God is always there! As a control freak myself, I have had to take a moment and ask “Wait, is this Your will or mine?” before making a decision on something. Even with our move, we’ve taken steps one at a time to let our decisions not be made abruptly … And even on my own journey I’m reminded when we stop for a moment He’s always there to reel us back into his reality! Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,
    and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
    For the Lord is a God of justice;
    blessed are all those who wait for him.

    1. Amy says:

      Love that verse!

    2. Hesaved83 says:

      Thanks for allowing Holy Spirit to speak these encouraging through you, amen!

  8. Nicole says:

    21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

    This is one of my life verses!

    1. Hesaved83 says:

      Nicole,
