a stronghold to the needy in his distress,
a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat;
for the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall, -

1O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. -
In perfect faithfulness, God does marvelous things that he planned long ago. So comforting. We as humans think very short term, but God’s got this figured out long term.

These verses in Isaiah made me thing of our world today. Of the constant turmoil and confusion our world is falling into. And it reminds me that through that all, those who trusted in God worshiped and hoped. May that be true in our lives today.
