In these chapters in Isaiah I hear a lot of the same language as the book of Revelation. That reminds me to look even in these judgment passages for what is revealed in Revelation, namely the glory of Christ. It says the moon and sun will be ashamed, and indeed in the new earth the glorious light of Jesus will make the need for light from the sun and moon obsolete.

8He will swallow up death forever;
and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces,
and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth,
for the Lord has spoken. -
25:9 On that day it will be said, “Look, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He has saved us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”
Looking back, how have I seen the Lord come through, saying, “I have waited for this!”? Looking forward, in what ways do I need to still trust in His perfect faithfulness, to say with confidence, knowing one day I’ll be able to say, “I waited for this! God came through just as He promised!” Praying for all of us–that the hopes & promises we’re holding onto will be rooted in our perfectly faithful Father, and that, by keeping our eyes fixed on and our expectations rooted in Him, we will one day be able to say, “We waited for you, and you showed us your salvation, the way that was best.”

Thank you SarahMay! Although i know the reading is historical, it felt so very disturbing to have it as our portion to read today. Your comments bring me back to the main truth! – As for Acts- i just couldn’t help myself and read ahead! It was like a commercial break during a tense movie- i had to fast forward! God’s Word! Soooo good!!!

loved it! praying 25 as a prayer was so great. and the last few verses really link back to 23 and 24, about how yes we do need to rid of destructuon and bad in our lives but that God will do that for us. hell lower our walls, make us open to him and change our hearts, as we openly trust him ❤

I always am filled with wonder when I read about Paul. Again and again and again I am reminded how God transforms us, He is so merciful and graceful and loving! If any of you have ever watched the show Fixer Upper, the transformations remind me of our own re-dos. We go from a broken, unusable, empty, stagnant house, to a living, full, and flawless house because of Christ! Thank you Jesus for making me new and full of life and love!

Enjoyed being reminded in Acts 22 today that just like Pau, I have been chosen to know God’s will. What a privilege! Verses 14-16 in the message actually describes it as being hand picked. We have all been invited to partner with God in His great redemption plan and to be his key witnesses in our places of work, school etc. Jesus help me to believe that I am chosen – this is truth. Help me get excited about your thrilling plan for my life. Help me be a witness and my life evidence to others that you are alive!

I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure.After watching The War Room I’m reminded to always think back to answered prayers in times of worry and to let that go and instead Trust that He will persevere as always! The goal is to celebrate and rejoice and use positivity to breed even more positivity! Not the other way around…
I had someone tell me yesterday “thank you for posting your Bible study each day, I’m really enjoying them” and that is my goal with doing this – to celebrate the God who saved me … To show others there is hope in his Word … And to Learn his Word more and more each day! Phew! Am I the only one who found Is. 25 refreshing? It’s so nice to take a break from the ruin and destruction but also so so encouraging to hear about Jesus’ eventual complete redemption and celebration on earth with us!!!
