I was super intrigued by the part is Isaiah’s vision with the coals touching his lips. I just kept thinking of how hot those coals would be. Healing and consecration isn’t easy or painless, and I think that passage just confirms that for me. Sometimes you have to put hot coals on your lips

    1. Elizabeth Willette says:

I too was intrigued and feel the same way. What a hard thing to do.

  2. We should always share God’s word. The sacrifice Jesus did for us, how great he is, how loving and amazing he is shouldn’t be something we keep to ourselves. I love how Paul continuously spreads the word no matter how difficult it becomes. It should be a reflection on how we as followers should be today. Aquila and Priscilla left everything & instantly shared what they had learned. Great verses.

    These are great verses.

I love how the readings match up again. Isaiah being willing to be sent with God’s message… sadly of judgement and destruction for turning away from God. Then Paul, Silas, Timothy, even Appollos- traveling everywhere to spread the good news of Jesus. And Aquila and Priscilla still responded with an attitude of “here i am -send me” in their own neighborhood! God’s Word!! Pretty amazing!

I love God for his amazing promises he gives us. But this passage does confuse me, maybe I’m miss reading. But Got says to Paul, no one will attack you, then we read a few verses on, that Paul was attacked??

    1. Heather says:

God told Paul that no one will attack to harm him, I take that to mean no one will physically harm him. He will be attacked with words and accusations but God says that he will be with him through it. It’s not necessarily harm in the way that we see it but in the way that God sees it. If you think back to Jeremiah 29:11, God says for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper and not to harm you. He is thinking in a larger sense of perspective, a perspective that we as human beings cannot begin to grasp. Does that make sense?

    2. Renata says:

I think it was the leader of the synagogue who was attacked.

  6. Emily says:

  7. Hope Noelle says:

  8. Blair Bible says:

The awesome thing about priscilla and aquila is that it wasnt about how experienced of believers they were it was about how strongly they believed
