It’s inspiring to read how Paul and Silas spread the word of God and instruct people who know nothing about it. It’s even inspiring to read how it works for some people, and it doesn’t work for other people. As we go out and try to spread His word, we won’t be 100% successful – like Paul – but even if one person hears and believes for the first time, that is a life-changing success.

This passage in Acts reminds me that as the gospel message is simultaneously foolishness and the wisdom of God, it is also reasonable and objectively true. It is consistent with all of the Scriptures, and it can be understood and discerned. What a beautiful message God has written to be fulfilled in the salvation by His Son. May we recognize how reasonable and logical our God is, and how merciful He is for perfectly providing the salvation that we need.

God is always willing to bless. He only punish us out of love. Women has always been in the plan of God

What a claim – “These men who have turned the world upside down….” That this would be said about us!

Until i read these previous comments from long ago i didn’t notice how the readings go together today. Isaiah is calling a people who are already praying and offering sacrifices to get their hearts right- to love and honor God in obedience. In Acts Paul is visiting synagogues basically calling them to the same- to know the true Messiah and to live for him. I love every day all of your comments about the Word- about your very personal thoughts and struggles. I try not to comment every single day- but i truly value all of you and what you share!! You help me grow!!

Lauren I was struck by that verse too…and the whole chapter – how much the Father longs for reconciliation with us.
