  1. BF says:

    My family and I just moved to a new house in a new state. It feels like I am in a different world… so many things are unfamiliar. As I unpack boxes, I am thinking of how to decorate the house. And today I read,

    3-4 It takes wisdom to build a house,
    and understanding to set it on a firm foundation;
    It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms
    with fine furniture and beautiful draperies.

    May our homes be filled with wisdom rather than furniture!

  2. lesa says:

    “proverbs 23: 4-5 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.”
    This is a verse that I needs to hear this morning, I often get caught up in the money aspect of a job.

    I found this very interesting today

    11 Rescue those being led away to death;
    hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
    12 If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
    does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
    Does not he who guards your life know it?
    Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

  4. April says:

    Do not let your heart envy sinners, but ALWAYS be zealous for the LORD. There is surely a future hope for YOU , and your hope will NOT be cut off. Proverbs 23:17&18 wow, just wow! It’s amazing that while we are in this world He says to not worry or be taken up by the things in it; He has got our backs and has a future of hope in His hands with our names! But why does the world have to have such tempting life draining activities and desires in the way?

  5. Katie R says:

    Love my Bible’s notes on Proverbs 24:26 “an honest and we is like a kiss on the lips.”
    -a kiss is not necessarily considered a romantic act in biblical times, but rather a sign of true friendship. Those who genuinely love others will be honest with them; their lips will speak truth for their benefit and enrichment.

    What an encouragement to be truly honest and encouraging to my friends!

  6. Briar says:

    A great reading!

  7. I find such peace in all the promises God provides of a future for the “righteous man.” Of course, we all struggle to live that way in a sinful world. But having that hope in front of us on dark days, provides enough strength to make it through those dark, gloomy places.

  8. Katrina P says:

    Proverbs 24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
    and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles,
    18 lest the Lord see it and be displeased,
    and turn away his anger from him.

    HATERS GONNA HATE – and should be left alone to do so! I’ve talked a lot about how there’s people in life who drain you and those who fill you up! God wants us to MOVE ON from them and not dwell on their negativity – we should find people who love and support us instead – focusing energy on the negative takes time and effort and LOVE from those who fill us up!

      This verse popped out to me as well! Thank you for your insight

    2. Anna says:

      Love love love this!
