I am so loving proverbs. Don’t we see these words playing out in our day to day? No matter where people are in their journeys with God, even if they aren’t yet believers, these words are true. I see it in my sister’s life. She’s not a believer and is going through such an agonizing time, divorcing a narcissist. But I see God honoring her as she has sought the help of many counselors and advisors. She is devoting herself to the truth. Her husband on the other hand is slandering her and is very deceitful. And, God is honoring her every step of the way. Praying that she see’s His hand and knows that it is Him going before her and behind her—just like Stephen reminds the Jewish priests and scribes of their inheritance in the faith.

With humility comes wisdom. Pride only brings disgrace. So so true. And a great reminder in our day to day to approach everything with humility.

Yet again I am amazed by God’s grace and way to talk to us over his words. Today’s my mom’s birthday and God has talked. Thank you, God! ❤️

Proverbs 12 is a good one for me. To be reminded that the fool hates reproof and the wise embrace correction. The fool also is quickly offended at an insult, whereas the wise overlooks it to his glory. It reveals how much my reactions are rooted in foolish pride. May I also remember to speak the good word to myself in times of anxiety.

I agree on all counts! I also want to have the tongue of the wise that brings healing rather than the reckless/rash words that pierce like a sword—both when speaking to others and to myself.
