  1. Sandy says:

12 And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. 13 He prayed to him, and God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.

If God listened to evil Manasseh, then how much more He will listen to the prayers of His children?! He is so good!

  2. Gabrielle says:

I love the line, “then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God” (2 chronicles 33:13). I think this verse struck me because I sometimes separate my weak, human ideas of Lord and God. I remember parts about God but I forget how GOD God is. I forget that He has made water flow from rock, He has begotten a Son from the Virgin Mary, He has resurrected and lives. This verse reminds me that, though I may forget, the Lord is still God. And his plans for me and for you will not be compromised. God does make the impossible possible. For that I am grateful.

There is nothing new under the sun…blatant disrespect for the Lord God abounds. But Hezekiah had it right… vs7-8 “Be strong and courageous, do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria… for the one with us is greater than the one with him. ‘With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.’ And the people relied on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.” So crazy to see that his son Manasseh didn’t follow in his dad’s steps to seek the Lord when Assyria attacked but thankful he eventually humbled his heart. Again, not so for Amon but Josiah is coming…

The way we use money helps us to see where are heart is toward God. Because He has given us stewardship over the things we have . We can’t be both lovers of money and God. Zacchaeus was saved and so used his wealth to glorify God and you can see the fruit of his love for God in those actions . It is possible to be wealthy and still love God. God is good ! I pray we would all be in awe and worshipful of Him in all aspects of our life — trusting and giving it up to Him.

    1. Kristen says:

Thank you for that lovely reminder!! Trusting in Him is sometimes hard for my human side as I want things done now! His timing is perfect timing!

  5. Sara says:

7 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged…”
How many times do we read those words in the bible?! We are reminded repeatedly to be courageous. This is a good reminder for me this morning, as I’m about to make a risky career move and have been feeling pretty intimidated. But the Lord hasn’t given me a spirit of fear, and I need not be afraid of what lies ahead. He is with me wherever I go as long as my heart is in line with Him. Happy Monday ladies!

    1. Heidi L says:

      Praying for you today Sara!

  6. Britt C says:

‘[They] prayed about this, and cried out to heaven.’ When we are discouraged and need help knowing we cannot triumph in our own strength we need to cry out to God!

  7. Shirl says:

How important to use and invest our money wisely

  8. Katrina P says:

This Luke verse is a good reminder that if we are obedient and believe in doing good for the Lord, it doesn’t matter if we are sinners

    1. Hesaved83 says:

      Katrina,

Can you explain further because your statement regarding sin is contrary to what I read in the following Scriptures: 1 John 3:4-9, Hebrews 2:11, Hebrews 10:26, Romans 6:1-2, Romans 7:14-25, etc…What did Jesus die for then? Sounds like cheap grace or Good Samaritan acts.
