I’ve been frustrated with the hypocrisy on both sides of the political aisle lately, and got caught up in it with yesterday’s events. The Lord had to strongly correct me to show me my words & actions will not change a very spiritual situation/condition. He reminded me my place to fight is on my knees, surrendered to Him. These verses confirm that–Ps 56: 3 “When I am afraid, I will trust in You. 4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” I need to stay focused on His Word, His purposes, and PRAY for my nation. Only He can change and turn us back to where we truly seek and follow Him, not our own desires or agendas (as we’re seeing didn’t work out so well in Judges!).

    1. Stacey Cochran says:

Well said. Those verses have been a comfort to me since before I was a teenager and they mean even more to me now.

  7. Cindy says:

I always have to be reminded that no one is powerful enough to change Gods plan for me, not even myself! No flesh can harm me. This was a great reminder and comfort to me to know He is in control. Not me. Not my boss. Not my co workers. No one can change the outcome of my life. God is in control. I surrender again today.

    1. She Reads Truth says:

So true, Cindy! Thank you for your encouraging words this morning!

  8. Emily says:

Oh man… Psalm 55:10: ” Its walls are patrolled day and night against invaders, but the real danger is wickedness within the city” I put my name there: “Emily’s walls…” I’ve had a rough decade, so I have MANY walls. This verse was SUCH beautiful conviction!! LOVE when God does that!!

    1. Kylee says:

I love that heart conviction & will pray for you, Emily!
