Caleb was ready to start a new challenge for God at 85! Such a rebuke to me! Sometimes, at 34, I feel like I have missed my opportunity. That I’m too old and settled to do something new. Caleb was not ready to slide into retirement and rest on his laurels. He asked for a new challenge. Oh Lord, let me not be content where I am if You want me for something new! Let me believe wholeheartedly that if You call me, You will enable me to answer and obey

The first passage speaks to me about the danger of giving away things God has intended just for us. And also if how massive israel would be if God had his way and politicians hadn’t sold it over the years. How it but grieve Gods heart to watch us give away his gifts to us!
