  1. VA says:

A fruit tree is intended to bear fruit as is a believer for the good of the Kingdom.

  2. Courtney says:

God is so powerful! We only need faith the size of a mustard seed

    1. Franchesca says:

Amen! Courtney that is all you need

  3. Jenna says:

Deut 20:3 ‘He shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, you are approaching the battle against your enemies today. Do not be fainthearted. Do not be afraid, or panic, or tremble before them, 4 for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’

When I’m going through a hard time or things don’t seem to work out the way I want them to, it’s easy for me to look & see what I can control/fix rather than to turn to prayer & ask God for guidance. I need to trust His plan for me & need to remember that He is always there & won’t abandon me, just like He always provided for the Israelites & fought for them. I’m in a transitionary period of life right now & I’ve been anxious & a little fearful of what the future holds, but reading these verses is a wonderful reminder that I don’t need to be worried bc God is the one who goes before me & will fight for me.

    1. Jenna says:

Oops meant to say God goes with me!

    2. KK says:

Jenna, thanks for sharing! I’m in a transition time too and these verses demonstrate God’s faithfulness to us. By His power alone will I be able to continue on this journey.

  4. Skyler says:

I was confused on how Deuteronomy 19:21 it says that it is eye for eye, tooth for tooth, etc. but later in the Bible its says that we should not return evil for evil

    1. Amy m. says:

This is Old Testament, before Christ became our actual sacrifice. These are the laws we would have been held to before He saved us.

  5. In Deuteronomy 20:5-9, is God saying that the soldiers that haven’t been able to enjoy their new house/vineyard/marriage should physically return to those places and not participate in battle? Because adding that the faint hearted should also go rather than fight and possibly die makes me think that…

The only other way I can see it being understood is as God saying they will win the battle and be able to return safely to their homes. I would love to hear your insight!

    1. Antimony says:

I think He didn’t want anyone who was distracted by other things. Wholehearted, singleminded commitment from people who wanted to be part of it

  6. Savannah says:

Ladies I am asking for prayers today. God has laid it on my heart to share the gospel with someone at my orchestra retreat this weekend. I don’t know who it will be, but I feel that there will be a kid there that will really need to hear it, and I need to be there to say it. Praying that the Holy Spirit will guide me through this!

    1. Lyndsay says:

      Amen!

    2. Angelyn says:

Savannah, I love your heart for other musicians. Keep fighting the fight :)

  7. Niki says:

I’m still here ladies… Playing catchup on the readings. It’s amazing how you think you only miss a few days and boom, you are 10-11 days behind. :( gotta catch up and return it to my daily schedule.

  8. Melissa says:

I read Mark 11:25 over and over and I am still caught… I am struggling with finding the difference between forgiving someone’s wrong doings, but also fear of putting myself in a position to allow the same troubling things to happen again in a challenging family relationship. Thoughts on this?

    1. Melissa says:

Except that I need to remember… The Lord gives me a second chance every time I ask…

      1. Yana says:

25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

In your prayer ask for help in forgiving them while you protect yourself. If it is unsafe to forgive them in person then forgive them in prayer. Forgiveness is as much a self cleansing and healing as it is a public confession. Sometimes, It is more important that we forgive what someone has done to us and include the welfare of that person in our prayers than it is practical to physically approach that person and tell them you forgive them. I know family members that would be shocked to know how much their words and actions have hurt me. If I were to make this apparent to them it would cause hurt, not heal it. So I pray for my ability to forgive them their unkindness and I pray for strength and guidance when I have to be around them. Our Father does not want you to put yourself in harms way, but He does want you to forgive in prayer so you can heal and become stronger in Him. I hope this makes sense.

    2. Traci says:

Melissa, I believe that you can forgive but don’t have to forget or allow them to continue to hurt you. Boundaries are the key. God bless
