Day 21

Weekly Truth

from the Give Thanks reading plan

1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize the key verse for the Give Thanks reading plan.

Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
— 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

This sure isn’t easy. Especially with the struggle that’s ahead of me with this new cancer diagnosis, but I know that the story has a happy ending. So, therefore I should rejoice and pray that He would be glorified. ❤️

Rejoice always. It sounds so simple. Rejoice in who God is and what He has done. Always. Even when life can be sad and hard. The goodness of God has not changed. His love is forever.

Remembering to always give thanks to the Lord everyday.

  7. Julie Whitacre says:

This always reminds me of Corrie ten Boom & the fleas. Love never fails. Jesus never fails. I want to grow in this, to give an actual sacrifice of praise BEFORE I can see with my own eyes what good the Lord will do.

What a great reminder as this study ends. Thank you!
