Day 13

Grace Day

from the Give Thanks reading plan

1 Chronicles 29:11–13

BY She Reads Truth

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

11 Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor and the majesty, for everything in the heavens and on earth belongs to you. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom, and you are exalted as head over all. 12 Riches and honor come from you, and you are the ruler of everything. Power and might are in your hand, and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all. 13 Now therefore, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name.
1 Chronicles 29:11–13

Verse 14: But who am I that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own we have given you.

May our thanksgiving come alongside a freewill offering to the Lord of our choicest – time, money, resources, gifts, to the praise of His glorious grace.

These are the words of David, praising God in the presence of the whole assembly.

May my words and my life follow the example of David and be a visable display to those around me of honor, blessing, admiration, and gratefulness to God.
