Day 28

Weekly Truth

from the Hebrews reading plan

Hebrews 12:1b-2

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize the key verse for the book of Hebrews.

Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
-Hebrews 12:1b-2

The “race” drive I run to my job right now is a beautiful one. God made autumn as the most wonderful season I think with all the changing leaves. God bless everyone this beautiful Sunday.

    …fixing our eyes on Jesus…

That statement makes all the difference in the world.

  3. Churchmouse says:

I can not run the race You have set before me while carrying heavy stones of condemnation. I drop them at Your feet. May my speech, which I alone control and for which I alone am responsible, be kind and compassionate. May my actions and reactions reflect Your love. Others may choose to clutch their stones but Lord, help me to choose to open my fists and hold on to You. Let me not contribute to evil but overcome evil with good. There is enough of one and not enough of the other in this world. Let me be different because I run with You. Amen.
